Formal announcement of National Convention Against Assault on Journalists



The formal announcement for the National Convention Against Assault on Journalists was made on Friday, September 7th, 2018 by a Facebook invite and releasing the invite cover photo and page cover of the convention. All are invited to the Constitution Club of India, New Delhi on September 22-23, 2018 who believe in press freedom and uphold the right to report freely without fear of intimidation and persecution. For Endorsement: Journalist Sandhya Ravishnkar's letter to Chennai CP on threats and intimidation

Chennai journalist and member of this group Sandhya Ravishankar has been facing numerous threats and intimidation for her stories against illegal sand mining . Over the last few weeks, the threats and intimidatory tactics have intensified. She has filed complaints with the Chennai Police Commissioner but no action has been taken as yet. The letter is addressed to the Chennai CP seeking immediate action on her complaints. Pls endorse it.
